  1. Nice, I like it, your rack looks sturdy, I know you move a lot but I have a little solar panel on the top of my rickman box, and a 12v socket in the box. Solar panel is handy if you camp for the day. Put translucent sealant around edges mind and white sealant under gap!
I wish you well. P.S My main jet fell out into float chamber on my last trip, if you have a sudden fuel failure remember that possibility :)

  2. If you come back with a Loncin 110cc fitted that's fine by me, but I'm sure the Honda engine will do you proud, keep that back wheel at 40psi minimum when off-roading else it will get lumps ripped out of it uphill on the sharp stuff, I pour super-glue down the cracks as temporary fix when this happened to me off-road in Wales!
And don't use radial front tyre, I use netto japan 2.25 front or any non-radial, and any cheap nylon 2.5 rear, I have a 4 speed loncin manual engine I run on 17:36 sprockets, or 16:36 laden, and my bike is a Honda c70 (1985) starting to rust. The reason I like the manual engine is so I can rev the engine at night to make the headlight brighter! Keep us posted.

  4. Hi Guys. Thanks for your advice. Its great that the site is getting out there. I'll definitely take up your recommendation for the tyre pressure, mongrelpom. When I went I did 1100 miles around Scotland fully loaded, which included a bit of off-road, I managed to wear the tyre bald. I'm pretty sure that was due to incorrect tyre pressure. Otherwise, what an absolute ball ache would it be to have to change the tyre every thousand miles! No thanks.

And ojwoman, I'll try to wear a smile all the time. Even if its all getting to me (which I'm sure it will) I'll GRIN and bear it :-D
